Excavator Operator

The Lyon County Highway Department has a job opening for full time Excavator Operator Position. Principal duties include:

• General Road Maintenance
• Bridge Repair
• Snow Removal
• Safely operate Excavator and other heavy equipment
• Maintain and install Drainage Infrastructure including pipe and box culverts
• Brush cutting w/hydraulic brush cutter head
• Clean Ditches/carry grade w/laser or hand level
• Manage Projects and show leadership over crew
• Other Related Work

Applicant must have or be able to acquire Class A CDL and be able to transport equipment. Minimum two years of experience operating heavy machinery in a related industry, including excavators, loaders, dozers and backhoes. At least two years experience working for the county highly preferred.
