Get ready to soar into the incredible world of the Bald Eagle! Join us at the Lyon County Fair because we aren't just talking about these majestic birds of prey—we’re getting a rare, up-close look at how they live, hunt, and survive!
Here is a quick look at what we will be exploring:

The Ultimate Predator: Discover the amazing adaptations that make the Bald Eagle one of North America's most powerful raptors.

Up-Close Artifacts: We’ll examine a real, lifelike taxidermy eagle to see its massive wingspan and sharp talons up close.

The Next Generation: Check out a replica of an eagle egg and learn about the giant nests they build high in the treetops.

Inside the Hunt: Look closely at an eagle skull to see how their incredible vision and powerful beaks work together.

We are so excited to have kids and adults alike join us at the Lyon County Fair to get up close and personal with some of the amazing live animals who call our Nature Center home. Our animal ambassadors are here to help us learn about wildlife, habitats, and how we can all care for the natural world around us.
At the Lyon County Fair, you'll get the chance to meet some of our favorite resident stars, including:

The Lyon County Board of Supervisors meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, plus for special meetings as scheduled. To be on the agenda, please contact the Auditor's Office more than 24 hours in advance of the next meeting.
Lake Pahoja Recreation Area is a 300 acre highly developed multi-use recreation area. It offers a wide variety of activities for all seasons.
A few of the features at Lake Pahoja include 6 open picnic shelters with modern restroom facilities and drinking water available, three playgrounds, two volleyball courts, a basketball court, and horseshoe pits. Two enclosed lodges are also available - each containing four to six picnic tables, a fireplace, and outdoor pedestal grills.
