Safety Director
NOW HIRING — SAFETY DIRECTOR
Lyon County is seeking a qualified Safety Director to lead and strengthen the County’s workplace safety program. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining safety policies and programs, coordinating the County Safety Committee, investigating workplace incidents and vehicle accidents, coordinating safety training and workers’ compensation activities, conducting workplace inspections, and promoting a strong culture of safety.
Candidates should have experience coordinating safety committees and employee training programs, along with strong leadership, communication, organizational, and recordkeeping skills. The ability to maintain confidential information and comply with HIPAA requirements and proficiency with Microsoft Office and record management systems are required. Preferred but not required certifications include CSP, OHST, ASP, or OSHA Safety Certifications. This position reports directly to the County Board of Supervisors. This position offers an annual salary of $5,000 with flexible hours.
