Veteran Affairs Director / Administrator

The Lyon County Veterans Service Office is seeking a person for the position of a part-time Veterans Service Officer. This position will interview, advise, and assist Veterans and their dependents in understanding and obtaining the benefits to which they are entitled to under Federal, State, and local legislation; provides information about available services and arranges for referral to appropriate community resources; and performs other work as required. Within one year of employment, employees must become accredited with the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers. Candidates with military service will be preferred.
