Starting Sept 25th, 2024 the Handicamp ramp located on the east side of the Courthouse will be under renovations. Renovation is expected to last 6 weeks. As part of the FEMA environmental compliance review process for a Public Assistance-funded project for the Lyon County – Bridge Replacement – 04W FHWA No. 231260, we have determined the project site area is within the Special Flood Hazard Area Zone A (the 100-year floodplain). In order to comply with Executive Order 11988 and 11990, FEMA is required to complete an 8-Step determination review, per 44 CFR Part 9, regarding floodplain management and protection of wetlands. A Final Public Notice is required as part of the review (44 CFR 9.12).
