Lyon County Conservation is proud to announce the addition of a brand new fish cleaning station at Lake Pahoja. This new building is 336 sq. ft. located in the north corner of the boat ramp parking lot. The new building provides fisherman ample cleaning surface, running water, and a state-of-the-art fish grinder. Fisherman in the winter months will be happy to know that this building is heated and will be open for use year round. Please feel free to check it out and if you have any questions let our staff know.

As part of the FEMA environmental compliance review process for a Public Assistance-funded project for the Lyon County – Bridge Replacement – 04W FHWA No. 231260, we have determined the project site area is within the Special Flood Hazard Area Zone A (the 100-year floodplain). In order to comply with Executive Order 11988 and 11990, FEMA is required to complete an 8-Step determination review, per 44 CFR Part 9, regarding floodplain management and protection of wetlands. A Final Public Notice is required as part of the review (44 CFR 9.12).
