Lyon County Conservation Foundation is continuing a new tradition called Christmas with Conservation. Area businesses, families, churches, schools, etc. are all invited to showcase your decorating skills at the Lyon County Nature Center.

Decorating is Dec. 9th - Dec. 13th and you may decorate however you and/or your group wish. (e.g. business swag, recycled & natural materials, town pride, etc.)

Public voting begins Dec. 14th - Jan. 3rd, by the people who visit the Nature Center during this time, one vote per person per visit.

The winning tree will receive their choice of free Nature Center rental for your Christmas party ($500 value) in 2025 or two-night stay in a full amenity lodge ($450 value) between November - April months.

Money raised from event will go to Lyon County Conservation Foundation, which supports and funds natural resource projects, environmental education and Miss Emily’s programs in Lyon County. Past projects include: Lyon County Nature Center, wetland & habitat development, wheelchair accessible fishing pier and trailer, archery range, kayaks, and other environmental education materials.

We would love for you to join us in continuing this new tradition and make your mark on conservation and education in Lyon County!
