IT'S TIME TO RENEW YOUR BOAT REGISTRATION

posted on 1/7/25 · posted by Recorder

Boat renewal time has arrived and you may begin renewing your vessels and personal watercraft in the Recorder’s office any time before the April 30th, 2025 deadline. There is a two-month grace period for the $5 penalty. You will not incur the $5 penalty per vessel until July 1st, 2025, however, you cannot use your vessel after April 30th without having first renewed.

You may renew in person at the Lyon County Recorder’s Office in the courthouse, 2nd Floor, 206 S. 2nd Ave Rock Rapids. You may also call us at 712-472-8528 ext. 6 and we will provide you with a renewal amount in the event you want to mail your renewal payment.

Thank you and happy boating!
