Fishing & Boating

Perhaps unsurprisingly, two of Lake Pahoja's most popular activities are fishing and boating.

A list of fish in Lake Pahoja: largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, yellow perch, channel catfish, black bullhead, and white amur.

A concrete boat ramp and wooden dock are located on the north side of the lake.  Boating is allowed on Lake Pahoja with electric trolling motors.

Fishing

Anglers can try their luck fishing for Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Channel Catfish, Bluegills, and Walleye. A valid Iowa fishing license is required. The Lyon County Conservation Board is dedicated to maintaining the fishing quality of the lake and has established many artificial fish habitat structures.

A fish cleaning station is also available to anglers on the north side of the park. Baiting with live minnows is not allowed in Lake Pahoja.
